Camelopardalis Meteor Shower

Walked outside tonight and spent a few minutes watching this once in a lifetime meteor shower that began its life in the 1800s as it starts its elliptical trajectory leading to its comet trail’s collision with Earth’s atmosphere exactly tonight. Amazing stuff, and glad to be alive in these exciting times.

This is what it looked like (only a lot brighter.)
