ISS and Japan

It’s a pretty cool thing to see the International Space Station with the naked eye. I saw it twice during my latest trip to Japan and found it humbling. It seriously hauls ass too. You can watch it for a few minutes while it crosses the sky and then it’s gone.

Very cool….

Star Stuff

“Supernovas are giant stars that die. New stars are born in stellar nurseries where they condense like rain drops. They get so hot that the nuclei of the atoms fuse together deep within them to make the oxygen we breathe, the carbon in our muscles, the calcium in our bones, the iron in our blood. All of this was cooked in the fiery hearts of long vanished stars. You, me, everyone……we are made of star stuff.”
